A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT, MICHELLE T TOP SECRET TOP SECRET TOP SECRET Ladies, I am sorry to tell you but I can not provide a newsletter article this month due to the fact that my article’s content is top secret. I have an extensive report from our district meeting, and I am in the process of gathering more information at the GFWC Virginia Conference this coming weekend. This report contains the results of the awards process that was based on our reporting completed in January of this year. Each of you should plan to attend our April meeting so you can be present when I release this top secret information! (Plus we will be celebrating our club’s 54th birthday and there’s bound to be cake. Now if that’s not a reason to come to a meeting what is?) So mark your calendar, make your plans, hire your babysitter and/or inform your sweetie you will be busy next Tuesday night, April 19th. I cannot wait to let you in on the top secret results!
A MEMBERSHIP MESSAGE FROM HEATHER M, second vice president Congratulations to Emily H, Hope, Charlotte L, and Carolyn Z on your initiations. We look forward to working with you and getting to know you all better! Our Pot and Bead Social is set for April 29 at the Pot and Bead in Ashburn. We will be there from 7-9 and will have snacks to keep up our energy! Plan to come; we had a great time last year! As always, if you have a need or know of a member in need, please let me know. Continue to bring your friends and family members to events and meetings too!
THE TREASURER’S REPORT FROM ELINOR M Please find attached the Treasurer’s Report. All new members who have not yet paid their annual dues, please do so at the meeting on April 19th. The amount is $36.00 If you are unable to attend that evening, please mail your check to me before the 19th.
a NOTE from Kate M and Pam S, FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE Co-CHAIRS We are ecstatic about our new fundraising opportunity! The JWCL lemonade concession booth will be the COOL place to be on April 23rd and 24th. We've received loads of donated supplies and we are ready and waiting to break in our new lemon press. Hope to see you out there! Contact Pam or Kate if you have questions about your shift. We will provide directions at our next meeting but if you can't make that we will e mail them to you.
A QUICK MESSAGE FROM JENNIFER M, NEWSLETTER EDITIOR I just wanted to thank those of you who have been able to volunteer delivering Meals on Wheels. I have attached the sign-up sheet for those of you who may not be able to attend the meeting Tuesday night. There are still some open days in May and June. Please let me know if you can help.
A REMINDER FROM ANGELA F ABOUT BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS Please remember to bring a gift to the next JWCL meeting. Try to get a gift for an older child from ages 13-20 for Birthday Blessings. There will be a table set up when you come in, and Sharon Brown will pick up the gifts around 8 or 8:30PM on Tuesday. Thank you very much.
