JWCL April Meeting Summary (4/18/06)
Meeting Highlights
Hi Ladies,
We are starting something new
this month. After each monthly meeting I will send out a summary
email which will include: Meeting Highlights, Club Opportunities,
and the agenda from the meeting. (My plan is to simply attach the
agenda - but my computer and the yahoo account are not being
friendly this morning - so you will find the meeting agenda at the
end of this email.) This means that you can expect two standard
emails each month - the newsletter which comes out just prior to our
monthly meeting and the meeting summary which will come out just
after our monthly meeting. I hope this keeps us all better

1. The slate for our 2006-2007
board was announced by Stephanie M, Board Member at Large and head
of the nominating committee.

2. A collection was taken
from Birthday Blessings in honor of our 55th year of service.

3. Club voted to provide
volunteers for the Belmont Music Festival for this summer, dates TBA.
Jennifer S is the contact. We will have a list for
sign up at our May meeting. Training is done just prior to each
concert. Once you have been trained one time you are good for the
rest of the season. Volunteers have been rewarded for their service
with a pass they can use for a future concert. See May newsletter
more details.
4. Northern District
Awards: Elinor M reported on the awards JWCL received the Spring
Northern District Meeting. (We took home over a third of the top
awards! Awards are giving for best single project and for overall
achievement each category were judged out of 35 clubs in the
district! Way to go girls!)
