JWCL is a non-profit organization and all funds raised throughout the year are redirected back to worthwhile organizations in Loudoun County. To enable us to respond to the needs of our community, JWCL holds several fundraisers throughout the year. These events are much-anticipated traditions as they give members an opportunity to develop their leadership and organizational skills, while also giving them the chance to get to know other members better. Waterford Fair The club sells traditional Brunswick stew, corn muffins and baked goods at this historic preservation and crafts fair held the first full weekend in October. Click here for more information. Silent Auction In November 2004, we held our first Holiday Silent Auction. Item donations were provided by club members and local businesses. We exceeded our fundraising goal by over 500% and gave club members and friends the opportunity to get a little holiday shopping done early. The 2005 Holiday Silent Auction was an even BIGGER success! The event featured local artists as well as unique gifts and spa packages. In August 2007 we teamed with Tarara Winery for the "Toasting the Stars Silent Auction" and raised over $6000 for local charities.
