1. Congratulations to Jennifer O.  She was installed last night as the newest member of JWCL.

2. State Conference Report  :  Elinor M and Erin O gave a brief presentation about their experience at our state convention earlier this month.  We were pleased to have them represent JWCL and accept many awards on our behalf

Virginia State Junior Clubs 2005-2006 Statistics

(aprox. 50 junior clubs in the state of Virginia)

 

Virginia Juniors completed  81,626 volunteer hours.

Virginia Juniors completed 2568 projects.

Virginia Juniors donated (monetary and in-kind) $841,447.60.

This award came with a $25 check

 

Certificate of Appreciation for the GFWC VA State Project

“$60,000 by 2006 for Camp Easter Seals”

We were recognized for meeting the minimum donation of $250.

JWCL was one of only five clubs to donate more than $2000.

The state project collected over $90,000 for Camp Easter Seals.

 

3. The following people were elected to serve as the 2006-2007 JWCL board.  Thank you for agreeing to serve. 

4. Bylaw and Standing Rule Amendments passed as written in the copy sent to each member and prospective via email last week.
