1983: Founded the first Loudoun County chapter of
Virginians Opposing Drunk Driving (VODD) that later became Mother's Against
Drunk Driving (MADD)
1963-67: Established the Blue Ridge Speech and
Hearing Clinic for aid of children with hearing and speech
difficulties. The clinic is still operational and receives donations
from JWCL.
